Studio Mission Statement
It is my goal to foster the growth and development of emerging singers and performing artists. I am committed to providing instruction of healthy vocal technique while encouraging students to expand their love of music through the study of a variety of musical styles.
Studio Policies and Guidelines

- Invoices will be sent via email and can be paid online or by check.
Repertoire & Lesson Expectations
- Repertoire is chosen for each individual based on their goals, skill level, and commitment. - Expectations and guidelines for practice will be tailored to each student.
Cancellation Policy & Makeup Lessons

My Teaching Philosophy:
I believe that it is of great importance for all adolescents and young adults to have a creative outlet. Voice lessons are a way to grow as an artist, a singer, and person as they allow for students to find new ways of expressing themselves. I am interested in teaching enthusiastic and motivated students who are willing to work hard and be open to new ideas, understanding that this process is a collaborative effort between student and teacher. I believe that a warm, positive, judgment-free environment is the most conducive to exploring, discovering, and learning. I promise to be prepared, enthusiastic, and encouraging during lessons, and in return, I expect the same from my students. Students who practice and are willing to take risks will reap the most benefit from lessons.
Students with or without a musical background are welcome in my studio. For students with little to no musical background, I will set aside a small portion of the lesson to work on basic skills in musicianship (sight-reading, scales, etc.). No matter what a student’s goals, whether they hope to sing professional jazz or study classical voice in college, I believe that all singers must learn the fundamentals of healthy singing technique: body alignment, breathing, and resonance. I encourage students to expand their love of singing through many different genres. However, students should understand that in order to create a healthy foundation for singing, classical technique will be a part of all lessons.
I understand that the majority of musical opportunities for adolescent singers are through school, community theatre and/or choir, summer programs, and competitions, and I am committed to preparing students for this wide variety of opportunities. If students are interested in pursuing music on a collegiate level, I am happy to prepare them for auditions and scholarships in Vocal Performance, Musical Theatre or General Music degree programs.
Last but not least, I believe that voice lessons should be a source of fun in the lives of these young adults, a time when they can find their voice, expand their love of music and express themselves in a safe and nurturing environment. Now let’s get started!
